First week and shabbat on kibbutz Sde Eliyahu

Well it has been a week and so far i have seen and done so many things i have never done before. I played rugby for the first time (and won), I went to a beautiful rock quarry and had a barbecue surrounded by stone over 100 feet in height, i went swimming in a fresh water spring (the ma`yan as they say), and I drank with new friends that will surely be lifelong relationships. Shabbat was beautiful (although the tunes they use here are a little subdued). All in all I am happy and am strongly considering staying after ulpan to either work on the kibbutz or to join the Israeli army, as of yet I am still unsure. For once I am truly happy to be where I am and to be around the people i am with. Everyone is unique with their own backgrounds and views on life and how to live, it is truly an eye opening experience.

Until next time Shavuah Tov, Gut Voch and Laylah Tov
